In an 18-round golf, what makes connections between you and the ground is a pair of golf shoes. Sometimes a flexible and stable swing depends on what shoes you are wearing. Because the grip you have on the ground is relevant to your shoes. If it’s poor, your are more likely to slip and hit good shots. So make sure you have a pair of comfortable and fitted golf shoes

A form-fitting in sport’s shoes is very important, especially when playing golf, as the shoe needs to concert with your feet in times of golf swings. You need to tie the lace of your boots perfectly to get that form-fitting. But this task is not as easy as it sounds. You may go to tie the lace more than once to get that. And it takes quality time. Sometimes the lace of the shoe brokes which causes you to pay extra money to replace the laces. So if you are tired of these situations, the best alternative for you is to switch to a Boa style golf shoe.

Boa style is a new edition to the FootJoy golf shoes. This system doesn’t require a lace to tie for the fitting of the shoe. Instead, there is a turning knob in the shoe. So all you need to do is just slip your foot in the shoe and turn the dial on to make a micro-adjustment to get the perfect fit. These days you will find many models of BOA-style shoes in the market.

One of the recent BOA-style golf shoes is the FootJoy Men’s Hyperflex BOA golf shoe. We have spent a couple of days finding out this shoe’s features, advantages, and disadvantages. So, let’s go through the FootJoy Hyperflex Boa golf shoe review to know if it is worth buying or not.

The FJ hyperflex shoe is incorporated with many outstanding features. Some of the features that caught our attention are discussed below.

Design

FootJoy hyperflex BOA is not a classical golf shoe. It doesn’t follow the traditional design of a golf shoe. Instead, it has an asymmetrical design; the boa fastening system on the shoe’s front is quite similar to a slipper. Still, it has a sporty outlook. Toe spring and a slightly narrow heel complete the athletic profile look. You will feel relaxed on the golf course with this shoe.

With a knitted upper mesh and synthetic outsole, this BOA style shoe is available in 2 different colors. They are- Black with Charcoal and Silver and Grey with Charcoal and Red. But the irony is, these shoes are not available in every size.

As mentioned earlier, the hyperflex BOA is not a traditional golf shoe. This design may attract young golfers but may not suit well for senior golfers.

The BOA style

The hyperflex boa ensures you form-fitting of your feet in the golf shoe. As we mentioned earlier, this shoe has a boa dial in the heel of the shoe. You need to slip your foot in it. After that, dial the knob clockwise. It will encompass your forefoot and the heel, giving you a perfect fit with comfort.
This shoe is also available in the lace-up closure system. So if you are looking for that, please visit our article FootJoy Men’s Hyperflex Golf Shoe Review.

The outsole

The FJ hyperflex boa is designed with an OptiFlex outsole. This outsole is made of TPU and matches the outline of your foot. It gives you more flexibility and stability when you go for a golf swing.

There are seven cleats with some extra soft spikes on the outsole. In addition, the outsole has some slit on it that increases the flexibility of the shoe. You don’t feel any hardness under the feet and can enjoy a long walk with it.

However, this shoe is a spiked one. So before going to play on any golf course, you need to double-check whether the golf course lets you wear a spiked shoe or not. And despite being spiked golf shoes, the soft spikes won’t serve as the metal spikes on the greens. It may create a problem with the grip on the golf course.

The upper mesh

The upper mesh of the shoe is knitted. It is a performance mesh that is very light in weight. Not only that, the knitted upper mesh is very soft and gentle on the feet. In addition, the hot melt yearns of the mesh increase the breathability of the shoe. So you won’t feel damp after walking for miles and miles in this shoe.

Another notable thing about this upper mesh is, it is fully waterproof. It allows playing golf with these shoes on in any weather. You won’t have to worry about the damage to the shoe. But there is a problem with the knitted mesh. Unlike the synthetic upper, you will not be able to wear it for a long time as it will damage in a few days.

The comfort

The FootJoy hyperflex boa provides you with the incredible comfort that you need in a sports shoe. It has StratoFoam cushioning inside the shoe. It is a foam compound specially designed for golf shoes only. It reduces fatigue and provides you with optimal energy in return. Along with that, it has a high-density EVA Fit-Bed inside the shoe.
